Microsoft Updates, as well as Windows Updates

Hey,

I am just re-paving my Granny's laptop (which is running Vista, so can't use Boxstarter) and I have just enabled Microsoft Update, so I can get updates for other Microsoft Products installed on the machine. Is this a setting that Boxstarter can expose, so that in your installation package, you flip the "bit" to enable Microsoft Updates, and they will then be pulled into the Install-WindowsUpdates command.

Just a thought.

Cheers

Should be simple. Can you add an issue? Thanks!

By the way, if you can give me a starter for 10, I am happy to take this as a pull request, just not sure how to get started. i.e. is this just a registry key that needs to be flipped?

Yeah it probably is just a simple reg switch. Check out Boxstarter.Bootstrapper\Start-UpdateServices.ps1 for the key changed to suspend/resume auto updates. My guess is that googling will prove the key you want is close by.

Thanks!

Ok cool, I will do some digging, and let you know how I get on. I am in Norway next week, so this will give me something to do in the evening :-)
